In a meadow, prairie or large garden this tall plant provides a dramatic, bright splash of color in the late summer garden. Occurring naturally in moist to wet areas, it's surprisingly tolerant of average and even dry soils. The seeds are devoured by Goldfinches. Caution: It spreads to form large patches so use in wild areas or give it lots of room.
