Riddell's Goldenrod (Solidago riddellii)

Goldenrods have been wrongly accused of causing hay fever which is actually an allergic reaction to wind-borne pollen from other plants such as ragweed. Grow this plant for rich yellow colour and the bounty of insetcs it attracts, including Monarch butterflies. Does not spread like many of the common goldenrods.
