Prairie Smoke (Geum triflorum)

In May Prairie Smoke flowers. Shortly after the plant gives rise to feathery, smoky-pink seed heads that decorate the plants in June. Spreading slowly from its roots, prairie smoke can be used as a small-scale groundcover.
