Stiff Goldenrod is an important plant for feeding butterflies and other pollinators. It is shorter than the offensive species that are much maligned because of a few weedy members of the family. It provides a beautiful splash of late summer yellow colour. Because it Is a rare species in southern Ontario, it should not be planted in the wild.
