Thimbleweed (Anemone virginiana)

Height: 60-90 cm (23-35 in)


The plant is named for the thimble like seed heads, which slowly disintegrate into attractive white cottony masses. It is attractive planted in a mass in an open woodland garden, or other partially shady areas.
