Yellow Trillium is a sessile trillium, meaning the flower is not on a stalk, but appears to sit on top of the three leaves. Yellow trillium is considered to be one of the most beautiful trilliums in the entire world. It is only native to a small part of Tennessee, around the Smoky Mountains, so please do not pant it in the wilds of southern Ontario.
