Milkweeds are important features of a Ontario butterfly, because they are the host plant for Monarchs. For dry sandy soils, choose Butterfly Milkweed. Butterfly weed is also a very attractive landscaping plant in its own right, even if you’re not interested in planting a butterfly garden.
