Orange Coneflower (Rudbeckia fulgida)

Height: 30-90 cm (11-35 in)


The variety "Goldstrum" has been grown as an ornamental for a long time. Not until recently was this plant discovered to be native to one spot in Ontario, on Pelee Island. It is similar to Black-eyed Susan, but formers large clumps. Because it is rare in southern Ontario it should not be planted in the wild.
